Lower price. The compressor runs flat out, then switches off when the room is cool. A good choice for a bedroom or an office you don't cool all day.
Costs more up front. The compressor slows down instead of stopping, so it holds the temperature steadier and usually uses less electricity if it runs for long hours.
Roughly: 9000 BTU for a small bedroom, 12 000 BTU for a bigger bedroom or small lounge, 18 000 BTU for a large lounge or open-plan room. Not sure? Send us the room size.
